MuseumsHimeji Center for Research into Castles and Fortifications
Located northwest of Himeji Castle, this center was established in April 1990 as part of the city's centennial project.
It combines a Castle Research Room dedicated to the comprehensive research and study of castles in Japan and overseas, and a Castle Library, which functions as a central library.
