NatureTomisu-no-Sato
Tomisu-no-Sato is the only facility in Japan where visitors can enjoy radon bath therapy in the remains of Tomisu Mine, a gold mine that flourished from the Taisho (1912-1926) to Showa (1926-1989) periods.
Known as "radon bathing" in Europe and Australia, this health treatment involves breathing in radon gas that fills the tunnels here.
After radon bathing in the tunnels, visitors can also enjoy a regular bathing experience with 100% natural water from the valley.
Healthy meals like rice and grated yam sets are also available.
Visitors are invited to a healing experience in this unique space surrounded by the murmuring of the valley streams and the greenery of the mountains.
(Reservations can also be made through the website.)
