HistoryKeigyokan (Former Edo Period School)
This former Hayashida Domain school (a "domain school" was for the children of domain retainers) was built by the 7th fuedal lord Masakata Takebe in 1794.
It was destroyed in a fire during the Bunkyu era (1861-1864), but was rebuilt shortly after.
Originally, it included a Confucian school, a training hall, library, and more, but now only the main hall remains.
