No Smoking Zone and Public smoking area Around Himeji Station
The area around Himeji Station and Otemae-dori are designated no-smoking zones.
Until June 2026: A fine of 1,000 yen will be imposed.
From July 2026: A fine of 20,000 yen will be imposed (following a verbal warning and a written order).
Designated smoking areas are available; please use these areas if you wish to smoke.
About the Public Smoking Area in Front of Himeji Station
Hours of Operation 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Important Notes for Using the Smoking Area
・Please smoke only inside the designated smoking area.
・Smoking outside the smoking area is prohibited (subject to fines).
・Please refrain from using the area while it is being cleaned.
・Eating and drinking are prohibited inside the smoking area.
・Please do not stay for extended periods or make noise inside the area.
・Please take your trash with you.
・Do not place any trash other than cigarette butts in the ashtrays.
