This fee structure was determined by calculating the costs necessary for the maintenance, management, and operation of the Special Historic Site over the next 10 years, including preservation repairs and improvements that contribute to its conservation and transmission to future generations. It was decided after considering the balance of income and expenditure to ensure the appropriate maintenance, management, and preservation of Himeji Castle for its reliable transmission to future generations.
The revised admission fees will be allocated not only to the maintenance and management costs of the Special Historic Site, preservation repairs, and improvements, but also to expenses related to restoring the castle to its former appearance, accommodating inbound visitors, and implementing digital transformation (DX). This is to foster a historical and cultural space where visitors can experience what is unique to Himeji Castle.
We will continue striving to enhance our services to ensure the satisfaction of all visitors. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding these changes.
