Himeji Yukata Festival will be held this weekend !(6/21-6/22)

The Himeji Yukata Festival, an annual festival of Nagakabe Shrine, will be held to herald the arrival of summer. There will be the annual children’s yukata parade, the “Community Exchange Stage” in Jonan Park, and other events. Why don’t you come and stroll around the town in your yukata?

Traffic regulations will be in effect from 16:00 to 22:00 each day.

Children’s Yukata Parade

From Himeji Castle to Jonan Park via Osakabe Shrine, local elementary school students and Himeji Castle Ambassadors lead the parade with Himeji City Firefighting Band. Local elementary school students and ambassadors of Himeji Castle will wear yukata in the yukata parade.

◆Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony will be held at Jonan Park, the site of Osakabe Shrine, to announce the opening of the Yukata Festival.
